the New Your City project at the Italian Home for Children in Jamaica Plain, MA.
Tonya Salerno's students didn't have full-time access to a big space to build a city in, so they built and decorated the buildings in her classroom during their art classes. When they were installing their annual art show in the school gymnasium, they set up their city, built roads, hung airplanes from the ceiling, etc.
On May 22nd, 2007, they had a celebration for their art show and their New Your City!
