for a smaller batch than the one we made:

2 tsp instant yeast
about 3.5 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1/4 c. warm water
3 large eggs
1.5 tsp table salt
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. honey or 1/3 c. sugar

For the instructions for mixing, rising, braiding, etc. you will have to look at the book "A Blessing of Bread", by Maggie Glezer, which is where this recipe came from (p.94) (I don't have time right now to write out the full recipe with instructions...)

You can totally find it at the Providence Public Library! Here it is on amazon as well. Glezer gives tons of good general bread-baking advice, she is very knowledgeable & good at explaining complex things.
