Más Viviendas Para La Gente Rica

» in the store!

This poster was based on handwritten graffiti on a construction-site sign. By the looks of the handwriting, it had not been made by an 'activist-type' college-age kid. It made me think of the high school students I had met through New Urban Arts: I imagined them waiting for the bus or walking home, past all the construction that was happening along Westminster St...

The text reads: "Más viviendas para la gente rica... Lucha en contra del desarollo especulativo: los vecindarios pertenecen a las personas que ya viven en ellos!"

This Spanish version also exists on orange paper, and there is also a version in English on both gray and orange paper.

There are some copies of all the different versions of this print for sale!

(note: This is actually the second printing of the poster, in the initial version, both the sky and the girl's skin color and jeans were bluish-purple. ...there are none of those left.)

Thanks to Laura R. who modeled as the girl, and Corinne T. who helped with translation!
